The Construction Skills Centre will cover 15,500 ft² of the eight million ft² (67acres) complex in development at Kings Cross and is being billed as an ideal introduction into construction and other related training sectors.
All four of the site's construction partners - Carillion, Nuttalls, BAM and Kier - have thrown their weight behind the training scheme, which aims to provide students with first-hand, on-site experience of working on a major development project.
So far Brogan Group have supplied access for the staircases and the external perimeter scaffolding. The handrails and the access will begin to be struck in the next week or so.
