Full steam ahead at the Ireland Pavilion for Expo 2020
This project which Brogan are providing scaffolding for involves the construction of Ireland Pavilion based on the theme ‘Ireland – Island of Inspiration’ located at the Mobility District, Dubai Expo 2021.
Ireland’s pavilion will be based around the country’s magnificent Stone Age Newgrange monument.
The structure will be replicated at Expo 2021, only the amazing light effect will be recreated throughout the world fair using Artificial Intelligence. AI will be used to change the theme of the pavilion to promote various aspects of the country’s offering, including tourism, trade, technology and education.
Newgrange was constructed about 5,200 years ago, making it older than Stonehenge and the Pyramids in Egypt.
A passage measuring 19 meters will lead to a chamber with three alcoves. The passage and chamber are aligned with the rising sun at the Winter Solstice.
