The scaffolding and hoist works are due to start on the Royal Star and Gartner development, West London.
The Grade II historic listed building has been in use as a care home and hospital for ex Service personnel since the 1920s. The client bought The Home in 2013 following the move of the Royal Star & Garter Charity to new purpose built properties in Surbiton and Solihull.
The conversion of the building will provide 86 flats in a mix of between one and six bedrooms, conserving and enhancing the valuable features inside, while restoring the exterior of the building to its former glory.
