Recent Training Accomplishments

A number of our site staff have recently successfully completed training for Advanced Scaffolding and Tensile Load Testing of Scaffolding Anchors using a Portable Test Meter.

The Advanced Scaffolder course gives scaffolders who have a minimum of 1 years’ experience with a working knowledge of methods of erecting and dismantling highly complex designed scaffolds.

The Tensile Load Testing of Scaffolding programme covers:

• A simple method of calculating the loads to test too
• Number of tests to carry out
• Setting of the test meter bridging stand and use of adaptors
• How to test long scaffold screws or protruding threaded studs
• Slip gauge reading, load gauge reading and load relaxation
• Kilo newton conversion to tonnes
